Dan Wilson vs. Katherine Bidegaray
Mr. Wilson is a district court judge in Kalispell. He denied the state’s attempt to force businesses to comply with the Democrat Governor’s mask directive in 2020, saying “Harm must be balanced with the damage caused to businesses and employees.” In 2023 Judge Wilson denied a new trial for a transient man convicted of a homicide at Fuel Fitness. The defense argued for a new trial over a minor structural error. This saved taxpayers money on a frivolous new trial.
Ms. Bidegaray is a district court judge in Sidney. She ruled that the Montana Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) didn’t properly approve the Black Butte Copper Mine at White Sulphur Springs. This ruling was overturned by the MT Supreme Court. She also ruled against a DEQ permit that would have allowed more coal to be mined at Colstrip.
Our strong recommendation is to vote for Wilson.
