VOTE NO on CI-127
CI-127 is part of a radically harmful out-of-state scheme to overthrow solidly conservative elected officials in Montana and shift political power to the extreme left liberal Democrats. These two insidious initiatives to change the Montana Constitution are literally being funded – not by Montanans – but by millions of dollars of liberal dark money from 2 political action committees in Denver, CO and Arlington, VA. If passed, these initiatives would fundamentally change our Montana elections with very devastating effects! They are being presented and promoted in a very misleading manner.
- Literally 99% of the money pushing CI-126 & CI-127 is coming from outside Montana! (Source: Montana COPP, 2024)
- During the June 2024 primary season, Montanans for Election Reform spent approx $4,000,000 (4 million dollars) pushing to get CI-126 and CI-127 on the Montana ballot this November. Over $1,000,000 of this came from a liberal political action committee in Denver, and over $2,500,000 came from a liberal political action committee in Virginia!! Why are these groups trying to take over our election process?!
- CI-127 would force Montana to pick between 2 bad choices: Run-off elections or Rank-Choice Voting. Run-off elections are expensive and very time-consuming, and would greatly undermine the ability of state legislators to effectively launch the state legislature just a few weeks after the election. Rank-Choice Voting forces an extremely complicated algorithm onto the voting process, whereby a candidate who did not receive the most votes or even the second-most votes in the primary may win the November election – due to the process favoring liberal-leaning Republicans and extreme Democrats. Republican voters, the Republican Party, and our endorsed/preferred candidates would be disenfranchised!
- The overall voting process becomes less secure and election tampering becomes more likely!
- Alaska is currently trying to abolish their Rank Choice Voting system after only 1 election cycle because it was so destructive!
- Rank Choice Voting is being pushed almost exclusively by the progressive Left to elect candidates they support. Guess who supports Rank Choice Voting: Obama, AOC, & Bernie Sanders! By changing how people vote, they can manipulate who wins elections. Rank Choice Voting is an alternative to America’s traditional “one person, one vote” system that leads to thousands of trashed ballots, widespread errors, delayed election results, and diminished voter confidence.
The Flathead Republican Party officially OPPOSES these extremely harmful liberal initiatives which are a direct threat to our liberty. VOTE NO on CI-126 & CI-127!
